Yara increases storage capacity from 2 million to 7 million litres
(2008-10-24) Yara has increased the storage capacity at the Sluiskil production plant in a strategic move that will establish the company as the preferred supplier of AdBlue. “Air1 is the best known brand of AdBlue and is renowned as a quality product. The completion of this development will secure this position. It is also a reason why most large oil companies and other important players in the transport world are choosing Air1 and Yara as a preferred supplier.”
“The market faced tremendous development over the last few years and nobody knew which position the product AdBlue would achieve. SCR technology has been established as standard equipment in transport vehicles over the last 2 years and now its difficult to imagine a transport sector without AdBlue. As such, unlimited supply and availability has become extremely important. The entire Air1 team from production through to sales has this in mind.” stated Caroline de Jonge.
Caroline de Jonge comments, "Despite the current turbulent financial situation, Yara is committed to investing further into the expansion of its AdBlue infrastructure. This will enable the Company to stay in-line with AdBlue demands in the future. Larger storage tanks and additional loading facilities will further increase our ability to optimise our loading procedures and guarantee delivery times. This will prevent customer's sites from running dry and ensure their fleet stay fully mobile at the lowest cost possible."
She continued, "we have a motivated team whom I have full confidence in to continue our good service and with the increase in storage capacity, we are well prepared for the further growth of the AdBlue market.”
