Availability of AdBlue increases in line with growing market.(2008-04-17) AdBlue producer Yara international is reporting that there are now twice as many Retail outlets in the UK for purchasing bulk dispensed Air1 or Dureal AdBlue than there were as this time last year. "The market for AdBlue has changed dramatically over the past year" writes Stephen Caldwell, Yara's market manager for Air1 and other NOx reduction products in the UK. "At last year's Commercial Vehicle Show many visitors to the Air1 stand were still asking what the product was, why they needed it and how it worked. Since then the number of Euro IV and Euro V vehicles on the road has increased dramatically and customers are now more likely to ask where they can fill up." During the past twelve months Air1 has developed it's network of retail dispensers, largely through arrangements with independent truckstop operators specialising in fuel bunkering. In December, Yara acquired the Dureal AdBlue business which also has a growing business supplying to bulk On - The - Road dispensers. In total the combined business now boasts some 30 dispensers on major routes nationwide, with more on the way. "We are beginning to see a pattern developing," says Caldwell. "Site operators start by stocking AdBlue in 10 litre canisters to test the market and move on to install a bulk facility as they experience growing demand. This is the case with the large oil companies as well as the independents and we can confidently predict a further significant increase in retail outlets in the near future." Air1 has posted details of all its retail outlets on the web site www.air1.info and also in a leaflet which is regularly updated and available on request.
